Woman Kills Friend’s Cat After Argument

What do you do when your roommate won’t give you your way? Brutally murder their favorite pet, of course!

That’s exactly what Chicago police say Tish Coleman did after a physical fight with her live-in cousin got out of control. After punching the younger woman and tearing her shirt, Coleman was forced out of the apartment the two share together by visiting friends. Unfortunately, though, the victim’s cat also ran out the door; one hour later, it was found in the apartment building’s stairwell with several stab wounds to its flank.

The cat’s owner called police, and they quickly located Coleman nearby, covered in blood and hiding an equally bloody Swiss Army knife in her purse, though she denies murdering the helpless one-year-old cat. She’s been charged with felony aggravated cruelty to an animal for murdering the cat, along with misdemeanor domestic battery for the preceding assault on her cousin.
